Ashley and Greg Buechele

"I (Ashley) grew up in Texas and came to New York for a finance job in 2005. One month after arriving in New York, I met Greg on an outdoor terrace on Carmine Street in the West Village. We have been Downtowners ever since!  An ideal evening out for us involves soaking up Downtown by eating dinner in the East Village or the Lower East Side and then walking home through Noho, the West Village and Soho before ultimately ending up in Tribeca.

Greg works in the commodities business and I now work as a counselor at Redeemer Counseling Services. Greg and I serve on the Diaconate together and we both feel called to minister to those who suffer."

Affiliate with the Downtown Congregation!

Dear ,

As part of Redeemer's mission to serve and renew the City, we have launched three congregations with the hope that each will be more robust in community, exuberant in worship and sacrificial in mission to serve and renew the City than anything we have already experienced at Redeemer. What it means to affiliate with one of our congregations is to join closely with others who are working towards those same ends: transformative community, celebratory worship and self-giving mission to renew the City, whether you are part of the East Side, West Side or Downtown congregations.

A congregation exists not because of one or several pastors or a church staff. It exists because the people of God are empowered by the Spirit of God to worship and serve Him in a particular place and time. In our case, the place is Downtown and the time is now.

Please consider affiliating with Downtown and joining us in this journey. What we ask of you is that you give yourself to serving this City and our community, regardless of what congregation you affiliate with. What you can expect from me and from our staff is that we will provide you with the care, resources and support to do so. Be in community with us. Worship with us. Serve Downtown with us.

In Christ,

Fourth Sunday After Easter
These devotionals are to help you prepare for the Sunday to come in the Christian Calendar. This week's devotional is written by John Lin.

“The conversion of Paul (formerly Saul) represents one of the most dramatic transformations in all of the Bible. At the moment of conversion, he is “still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord”, demonstrating active hostility both to the followers of Jesus and to Jesus Himself..."

Worship Space Update
Please pray that God would provide a space for Sunday worship beginning in the fall. We're looking for space that is affordable, can accommodate our expected congregation size for worship, and will meet our additional needs for a fellowship hall and classroom space.

We have already researched over 80 spaces in the Downtown area and have not found an available space that satisfies all of our requirements. Please continue to pray for God to provide a worship space!
