Jae and Tiffany Kwon

We met at a Redeemer community group back in the Fall of 2005. Jae was working in the finance industry, after just finishing school at Cooper Union, and Tiffany had just started attending optometry school. In 2008, God turned Jae's world upside-down when he lost his job, we began dating, and he began co-leading a community group. The group was a pilot for the "Gospel in Life" study by Tim Keller. We learned about major idols in our lives and were introduced to the idea of settling down in and serving the city; which is not something Tiffany, a native Californian, ever expected. In 2011, we got married and began hosting a Redeemer Downtown community group in FiDi. We are super excited to see what God has in store for Downtown!

Dear ,

One of the important realities of church life is that Sunday worship is not merely a place for us to find refuge within an unsettled world, but a place to find grace and courage to engage and serve an unsettled world.

We have made great progress in finalizing a location for Sunday worship and as we gear up for the fall, here are two great ways to get connected to our Downtown congregation even prior to the start of worship services.

Our next Downtown Launch Meeting is on Thursday, September 27th at 7PM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church at 232 West 11th Street. (This event was previously planned for the 26th but due to scheduing conflicts we have moved it to the 27th.) If you are interested in the Downtown Congregation, please join us! We'll share with you the latest news about our congregation and will pray together for the upcoming launch. Space is limited, so please RSVP. We will be providing childcare. If you are in need of childcare, please email Drew Hammell

Second, if you want to learn more about family life in the Downtown congregation or are interested in serving with the children's ministry, please join us for a Family Picnic on Saturday, September 29th at 4PM in Battery Park City. This will be a great way for us to connect to families and others interested in serving families Downtown.

If you plan on attending either of these very important events, please RSVP!  You can do so and learn more about both events by CLICKING HERE. Of course, please continue to pray for us as we gear up for a very exciting fall with the launch of Sunday worship services Downtown.
In particular, please pray for friends, neighbors and colleagues, whom you might bring to our new congregation.

In Christ,
