I grew up in a Christian family, but never had a personal relationship with God until my senior year of college at NYU. Like a fairy tale, Christ rescued me from many of my idols and healed wounds from broken relationships. He taught me how to forgive others the way He has forgiven us, and to trust Him instead of giving into my controlling tendencies. He also brought me to a Redeemer Community Group of amazing women who are now some of my closest friends and mentors. Two years later, my walk with God gives me more joy, love, and peace than I could have ever imagined.

Dear ,

As we prepare for a launch of our congregation, one of the questions people have been asking me has been, "how can I help or get involved?" Three answers immediately come to mind.

First, it's critical at this point that we pray for our launch. What's been remarkable throughout the last several months has been the ways in which God has consistently provided for us often when we didn't expect it and always beyond what we had expected.

Second, our launch is not merely the end of a journey towards becoming a congregation, it's the beginning of a new journey as a congregation. Regular Sunday worship will be a critical focal point for our life as a new congregation but also the platform from which we serve one another and the entire city. To learn how you can serve, come to the Downtown Launch Meeting on Monday July 30th. To RSVP, CLICK HERE and to reserve childcare, please email Mai

Lastly, begin thinking about who you can bring to Redeemer Downtown. What made Redeemer such a powerful movement in its earliest days as a church was the fact that everyone brought their friends who had questions about Christianity. This is no less the case for our new congregation. Begin thinking about friends you can bring to Redeemer Downtown.

Looking forward to serving with you!

In Christ,

John Lin
