"While growing up in Moorestown, NJ, my parents would take me and my sister on day trips to SoHo. I fell in love with the city, especially the gritty, edgy Downtown streets. I attended Rutgers University where I studied Sociology and Communications, and met my wife Nancy at the college ministry, Cru. My Cru Director constantly reminded us how much of an influence we had living as Christians in the NY Metro area. As a new full-time staff member, I am looking forward to spending more of my time sharing the Gospel and seeing the Downtown congregation become a welcoming, comfortable place for believers and seekers to worship and learn more about Jesus Christ."

Dear ,

Now that the Downtown Challenge is behind us, we are now moving into a new challenge, getting geared up for a congregational launch in the fall!

In addition to building our staff and finalizing our worship location, our team is spending the summer thinking through the vision and goals that will animate our next ministry year and building volunteer teams who will help bring them to life. We'd love to share that work with you and invite you to get more involved in what promises to be an exciting season ahead of us as a congregation.

On July 30, we'll have a Downtown Launch Event at 7PM at the W83 Ministry Center. I will be providing an update on what to expect for the fall and how to get involved and serve in the various Sunday and non-Sunday related ministries that will be part of our congregation. Everyone and anyone interested in the congregation should be at this meeting! You should have received a separate email invitation to this event. You can RSVP through the invite or you can RSVP by clicking here. Childcare and light refreshments will be provided.

Launching a new congregation is the beginning of our journey together to worship, serve and work for the flourishing of Downtown. We'd love for you to be a part of it!

In Christ,

John Lin
Downtown Congregation Lead Pastor
