To our Redeemer Community— Thank You.

In the challenging first week after Hurricane Sandy, you answered our call for support with radical generosity.

You made your way to Graffiti Church, World Vision and Here’s Life Inner City to clean their facilities after extensive flooding.

You traveled with The Relief Bus to Staten Island and the Rockaways to offer emergency food and clothing to the areas most hard-hit by the storm.

You donated carloads of water, food and clothing to help Hope for New York affiliates, including The Bowery Mission and The Father's Heart, offering shelter and food to those displaced by the storm.

We expect the ramifications of this storm will be massive and long-lasting, especially for the poorest and most vulnerable in our city.

As we continue to work with Redeemer, Hope for New York affiliates, and community partners on long-term recovery, we will need your support more than ever. One way you can do this is by simply staying up-to-date with our urgent needs, by checking our website or signing up for volunteer updates.

Please pray that our neighbors who have been devastated by this storm will find comfort and refuge in Him. Pray Hope for New York affiliates will be equipped with everything they need to continue their work to serve the poor and the most vulnerable in our city.  And pray that our church will continue to respond to these needs with Christ-glorifying love and generosity.

With Gratitude,

Elise Chong
