East Side Update

Dear ,

As we enter Holy Week, I pray this will be an especially spiritually refreshing time for you. I would like to encourage you in several ways.

First, in the midst of what I imagine is an extremely busy time for you, attempt to create extra space this week to be with the Lord. Spend time prayerfully reading and reflecting upon the last part of the Gospels that detail Jesus' Passion and Resurrection.

Second, take advantage of the opportunity Easter Sunday provides us to reach out to our unbelieving friends, neighbors, co-workers, and acquaintances. Easter is one of those rare occasions when spiritually unresolved people tend to be more open to attending a church service. Please invite someone to join you at one of our three East Side Easter worship services (9:45 AM, 11:30 AM, and 6:00 PM). And pray for all the unbelievers in attendance that the Lord would draw them to himself. Thank you very much!

Finally, for those of you who are suffering in one way or another, remember the extraordinary words of hope Jesus spoke to Martha as she grieved the death of her brother Lazarus, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die"  (John 11:25-26).

Rich blessings to you and yours,

Rev. Leo Schuster

Spring Rawlings
Children's Ministry Director

Each week, this section
will spotlight a member
of Redeemer East Side.

Spring is thrilled to be serving families as the East Side Children's Ministry Director.  After graduating with a degree in theater, Spring moved to New York City and was involved in teaching music and drama to children. During that time she also worked at Redeemer as the Youth Group Coordinator. Redeemer was not only her place of worship and work, but also where she met her husband, Rob Rawlings. For the past five years, they have lived in Atlanta where Spring served as the Children's Ministry Director at Intown Community Church. They now have two young girls, Parker, 3, and Kendall, 20 months. Rob and Spring are excited to be back to the city and church they love.
